Hello everyone!

This is about graphic design school again.

As I wrote in my last journal, I passed the entrance exams for the graphic design classes at the school "Die Grafische" in Vienna!

I also had taken the entrance exams for the multimedia classes   at the same school and yesterday I was offered a place in this course, too.

So now I can decide what I want to do! I'm really thankfull for that! =)

I want to choose the course which offers better chances to find a good job in the future.

:bulletgreen: In the graphic design classes students learn everything about advertising and how to create good advertising concepts. They learn how to create good designs and everything about pre-press.

:bulletgreen: The multimedia classes are mainly about creating moving pictures (2D and 3D animations) for websites, video games, ...

Which of these two courses offers the best chances to find a good job later? What will be sought-after in the future? Can anyone give me some hints? I'd be really thankfull!

Greetings

Both are really good, my mate is a Graphic design major, although do to too many reasons to go into, she hasn't gone into the business, mainly because you need to have a few years X.P. in a job in order to find any really decent jobs in the field. Graphic Design personal wise, give you a deep understanding of how to make your art get attention, and come in handy when helping out with your mate (aka me) when they are trying to make something appealing.

Down side, if your an obsessive type like my mate, you tend to analyze a lot of things, from TV ads, to how things are around you, house, in stores, and so on. Though you'll also have a deeper appreciation to the efforts put into something by another designer, or in case of websites or TV ads that are below par, the utter lake of said effort.

A little of an outsider's view on the Graphic design field, from living with one for the last 3+ years hehe.
