Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

That is just...you know what...NO! that is NOT fair to you! ugh...and this is why some people are believed to have lower intelligence. Also, that doesn't even look like a ferret, that looks like a pokemon (I bet it is). well, you know what you draw so you know what it is, I don't because I don't really watch that series anymore after the series with Mae (or whatever her name was, the girl with the brown hair) because I thought it was just...weird. But anyway, I hope everything turns out alright for you

Usually people, who know my gallery, find my images used without permission and point it out to me. These guys are really great because they often report the image for copyright infringement even before I know about it and the thing is settled pretty fast. They are a great help! I probably would never have known of over 75% of all art thefts occuring with my work.

*facepalm* Anyone with half a brain has to realize that is a furret. Or maybe just pokemon nerds.

Anyway, just contact the site owner with proof and they should take it down and possibly even ban the person. And if we're lucky, it will include banning the IP, too.
