Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:
I've made a new, major decision in the SPIKE story that I think a lot of you will be happy to hear. As usual I don't want to spoil too much, but there is a part in the story where Spike and Sam are separated from each other for quite a long while. Hi everyone!

It's December again and this means that ... it is Christmas time again

I love to feel this special atmosphere all around! I think people are at least a little different from usual in these weeks - okay, maybe not everyone but most of them. I go for a walk more often now because I feel much more comfortable in our town's streets.
Also I already heard the first Christmas song of this year's Christmas on the readio. It was "Last Christmas" (as usual^^) and I heard it when we went shopping in our local WALMART store. Every year I'm looking forward to hear the first Christmas song and I'm always really excited about which one it will be this time ^^ I'd love to know where you did hear your first Christmas song this year and where!

the bad thing about Xmas time is that I risk having a car crash because I watch the Xmas decorations of the surrounding houses intead of watching where I'm going ~_^

btw do you think that WoW is a disease because it's sort of real Matrix or just because Blizzard spends here a lot of time/money/effort that would be otherwise be used to develop Diablo 3?? ;-P just jocking

1st Christmas song this year was "last Christmas" as well, also at a mall.

I didn't really like that moment because it was at the end of November when I heard it which is waaayyyy to early for Christmas songs if you ask me.

I'm not in a Christmas mood yet, hopefully this will change soon though. What I experience so far is that people *are* different, but in a more stressed and "what am I getting yx for christmas today"-kinda mood...
