Second journal entry in one day ... something has to be wrong with me XD

Anyway, as the title says: I'm looking for a good anime or animated TV show I can enjoy when I want to relax.
I already watched and enjoyed very much:
:bulletgreen: Gargoyles
:bulletgreen: Pokemon season 1 to 5
:bulletgreen: Ranma 1/2
:bulletgreen: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
:bulletgreen: MLP FIM

I also watched and liked
:bulletgreen: Mahou Shojo Madoka Magika
:bulletgreen: Wolf's Rain
:bulletgreen: Fullmetal Alchemist
Though as these are pretty serious shows, they are not as relaxing as the ones mentioned first.

From what I liked so far, is there anything you can recommend me to watch next? I'd be very happy about suggestions!
  • Mood: Daily Needs
  • Listening to: I'll be waiting by Lenny Kravitz
  • Watching: MLP FIM season 2
  • Playing: Okamiden
  • Drinking: tea

Hmm sontan würde ich Legenz emfehlen. Das einzige problem dabei ist, die Sprache.
Denn die Serie gibt es nur auf Japanisch mit Englischen Untertitel.

You could try the new Thundercats series :) It reminded me a lot of Escaflowne.
Have you watched Avatar, the Last Airbender ? It's really damn good !

I don't know if you can exactly relax with it, but I do like Death Note. It's a very good anime :D

The Vision of Escaflowne is good too.

X-men: Evolution or Teen Titans. Not an anime, but good TV shows :)

I'm sure you must know about Sailor Moon [link] That's my top fave but there's two others that I fell in love with: 'Petshop of Horrors' [link] and 'Medicine Seller'. 'Medicine Seller' also goes under 'Mononoke' or 'Ayakashi' but unfortunately, I don't think there are any episodes of them on Youtube; they got taken down >_< Here's an MV that I hope will intrigue you (and the song is spectacular, too) [link]

I hope you enjoy these! I also have some anime movies to recommend that are pretty badass so just let me know, if interested :)

Ooh, this is a can of worms to open...

Hmm... reasonable suggestions. Well, if you want something to relax and feel good about the world with, I always suggest Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (or just 'Gurren Lagann' for the American release). Solid over the top giant robot action with wonderfully written characters and some of the best pacing I've seen in any show. 27 episodes of hot blooded action. I've heard that many people enjoy the English dub for this one, I just couldn't get through it after how passionate the Japanese cast was.

Please ignore the people that call Neon Genesis Evangelion an acid trip or anything similar. Besides the last two episodes and the end of the movie, it is one of the most realistic depictions of giant 'robots' that has ever been written. Good viewing for understanding where the anime industry drew inspiration going from the 1990's to the 2000's. Dub is fairly good for this one, especially the recent movies.

Starting this season in Japan (if your willing to do streaming stuff) is Mirai Nikki (aka Future Diary) which is a fairly smart, if incredibly creepy at points, story of 13 people with diaries that can predict the future competing for the throne of God. Lots of plots within plots and insane characters. I highly enjoyed the manga so I've personally been looking forward to this anime for awhile. Obviously no dub yet.

Clannad is something very different from what I've talked about already. Romantic comedy that gets pretty darn emotional at points. Same studio animated it (I'm fairly certain) as animated Haruhi if that's any help. I personally would not listen to the dub on this one but...

tl;dr version:
Gurren Lagann is hotblooded awesome
Neon Genesis Evangelion is gritty deconstruction
Mirai Nikki is creepy gambit heavy craziness
Clannad is emotional romantic dramady

Enjoy!
