It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

An artist who HAS to be featured

Hi there!

So this journal is about a really really wonderfull artist who in my oppinion should get far more attention than she does get at the moment:

I stumbled over her gallery a few months ago (as she among other things does Gargoyles fanart) and I really loved what I saw.

She works in a smooth comic style with a good knowledge of anatomy and perspective and she has really really imaginative poses. Here some samples:

If you listen carefully, you can hear an explosion coming from the south: In Italy, a young woman named Valaheri, had reacted her Critical Mass due an excessive input of flatters and compliments. Her decapitated head can be now found at 15 km from her house, with an enormous smile on her face.
